Questions we hear often

What is a periodontist?

A dentist who completed three more years of training after dental school in diagnosing and treating gum disease, placing dental implants and doing surgery on the gums and jawbone. It is one of the dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can call us directly. Many patients are referred by their dentist, who sends us their X-rays.

Will I stop seeing my regular dentist?

No. You'll keep seeing your dentist for checkups, fillings and crowns. We look after your gums and implants and keep your dentist updated.

Do you offer sedation?

Yes. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and IV sedation are available for surgical procedures, and we'll talk about the options at your consultation. Ask us if you're nervous; it's very common.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Do you take my insurance?

We work with most dental insurance plans and file claims for you. Call us with your plan details and we'll check.
